“It’s Ayres that Builds Wonders from Dust”

August 30, 2011

While recently processing the Library’s collection of papers related to prominent Texas architect Atlee B. Ayres, volunteer Sara Schmidt came across this fun piece of ephemera:

A short poem honoring architect Atlee B. Ayres.

Preliminary research has not turned up any additional information about this apparently hand-made item, and questions remain about who authored the poem and when and why it was written. The folded card differs from the five different Ayres business cards that are also in the collection.

Perhaps one of our readers has additional information about this interesting yet slightly mysterious item.
