Texas History Detectives Educator Workshop, June 20-23

The Daughters of the Republic Texas Library is proud to be participating in the Institute of Texan Cultures’ second annual “Texas History Detectives” educator workshop. Open to K-12 teachers, the workshop will take place June 20-23, 2011, and will focus on the theme “The Alamo Through the Ages.” Workshop attendees will learn about conducting archival research, access primary sources at participating institutions, and create lesson plans using Moodle. Dr. Bruce Winders, Alamo historian and curator, will also take attendees on a tour of the Alamo grounds and speak about the history of the site.
